Alongside her screen work, Meera performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Dublin Festival, Belgrade Arts festival to name a few and across many theatres in London. She's been fortunate to have performed in both comedy and drama in theatre and worked in a variety of other areas including, Corporate Film, Live Role-Play, Voice-Overs, Indents and Stills. I play Neelam, Prem's mother, a broken and vulnerable woman. Not only has her long suffering marriage continued to eat away at her, but the loss of her mother has delivered the crushing blow. In her journey she has to find the courage to live again after having lived all her adult life for her husband and children. To add to her difficulties, her relationship with her children is strained - a deepening pain that no parent or child should ever feel. Playing Neelam is a journey within itself, going through the hardships in her life and bringing to life the pains, the struggles, the seeking of redemption.
